Karing for Kids (KFK) is a community 501c3 non-profit organization that began in July of 2002. KFK's major objective and mission is to identify health needs and promote optimal health for Blount County students. Through school health fairs, in partnership with Wallace State School of Nursing, over 40,000 students have received a head-to-assessment since 2002. KFK works to help students improve academic performance, reduce absenteeism and reach their full potential.
Through this organization students referred receive much needed dental and vision help as well as other medical needs.
KFK is dependent upon community support. This is an investment in the future of Blount County's children today by helping them become healthy and productive citizens.
