Welcome to Blount County Schools! 

As the superintendent of a school system that proudly serves over 7,600 students and employs 995 dedicated staff across seven school communities, I am honored to lead our district toward an exciting future. Our vision is simple yet powerful: Build partnerships, Create opportunities, and prepare our students to Succeed in life.

Academic growth and achievement are at the core of what we do. Blount County Schools are committed to ensuring that every student is given the support they need to thrive. Our high graduation rates and strong college and career readiness indicators demonstrate that our students leave our schools well-prepared for the next steps in their lives, whether that means further education or entering the workforce.  In addition, we are proud to have one of the lowest absentee rates in the state. We know that when students are present, they can learn and achieve at high levels. By fostering a culture of engagement, we help ensure that our students are ready to succeed both in and out of the classroom.

Through our participation in the Community Eligibility Program, students are provided free breakfast and lunch, ensuring that every child has access to nutritious meals, which we know are critical to their ability to learn and thrive.

Together, with the support of our families, staff, and community partners, we are working every day to create an environment where students are empowered, opportunities are endless, and success is within reach for every child.
