GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
Graduation from a Blount County High School denotes the completion of a school program designed
to meet as nearly as possible the needs of the students. The Alabama State Course of Study shall be
adhered to in meeting the program requirements. Time allotment and credit requirements as
established by the State Department of Education shall be followed.

| Effective for students in the ninth grade in the 2013-14 school
year, all students shall earn the required credits for the Alabama High
School Diploma. ( Note: Advanced Placement, Honors,
Baccalaureate/Post Secondary courses, SDE approved courses may serve as
substitutions for some courses.) |
