                                                        Welcome Back!

I am so thankful for the opportunity to be the Child Nutrition Program Director for Blount County Schools and I would like to welcome your student(s) to the Blount County Schools’ breakfast and lunch programs. Our CNP staff works very hard to provide nutritious meals at an affordable price each day and we encourage all students to include breakfast and lunch in their daily school routine. We strive to make meal times enjoyable for all students.

Your child may qualify for Free or Reduced priced meals. We are encouraging ALL parents to fill out a free and reduced-price meal application – either online or on paper. Only one application per household is needed. If you receive a letter titled Notice of Direct Certification, you do not have to fill out an application for your child/children to receive free meals for this school year.

If your children were in Blount County Schools last school year and received free or reduced-price meals, they will continue to receive those benefits until September 17, 2020. If a new application is not received and processed by this date, you will be responsible for your student’s meal costs at full price until the new application is processed as eligible for meal benefits. We look forward to serving your child!! I welcome you to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have regarding the Child Nutrition Program.
