Federal Programs

Welcome to the Federal Programs Department!

We are dedicated to ensuring equitable access to high-quality educational opportunities for all students through the implementation of federal programs and initiatives. Our department works to secure funding and resources that enhance the educational experience and support the academic success of our students.

Some of the key federal programs and initiatives we oversee include:

  • Title I: Title I provides financial assistance to schools with high percentages of students from low-income families. This program supports additional resources, personnel, and interventions to improve academic achievement and ensure all students have the opportunity to succeed.
  • Title I-C: Also known as the Migrant Education Program (MEP), is designed to support students who face unique challenges due to their families' migratory work. The program aims to ensure that these students have equal access to educational opportunities, overcome barriers to academic success, and reach their full potential.
  • Title II: Title II focuses on professional development for educators, helping to enhance teaching strategies, instructional practices, and classroom management techniques. This program aims to strengthen the teaching workforce and improve student learning outcomes.
  • Title III: Title III supports English Language Learners (ELL) by providing resources, professional development, and instructional support to help them achieve English proficiency and academic success.
  • Title IV: Title IV promotes well-rounded educational opportunities, safe and supportive learning environments, and the effective use of technology in schools. This program funds activities such as counseling services, mental health support, physical education, and access to educational technology.
  • COVID Relief Funds: In response to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, emergency relief funds were provided to address the impacts of the pandemic on teaching and learning.

Our Federal Programs Department is committed to effectively managing these federal programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maximizing the impact of the resources received. We strive to create an inclusive, supportive, and enriching educational environment that meets the unique needs of each student.
