Summer Camp and Program Guidelines/Information:

1.       Camps are open to students enrolled in Blount County Schools.

2.       Students may register to attend any camp at any location. 

3.       Parents are responsible for getting students to and from camp locations.

4.       Grade levels refer to the grade during THIS year, 2016-2017.

5.       Students will follow all Blount County Board of Education policies and procedures, including Technology Use guidelines, as outlined in the “2016-2017 Parent/Student Handbook and Student Code of Conduct,” provided in August, 2016.

6.       Students will follow all directions of Camp Directors and Staff.

7.       There will be no part time participation, no late arrivals, or early leavers.  The student will attend ALL of the camp.

8.       Students may be photographed or videoed during camp activity for publicity and grant reporting purposes.

Camp Registration is closed for 2017.

Go to a Broadway Show!  The Music Man is one of the most beloved Broadway musicals and features the great song, 76 Trombones!  Attend this production performed by the summer program participants at UAB.  Eat lunch before you come to load the bus but you can bring a snack!  Let’s go to the play at beautiful Alys Stephens Center!!!

Learn while having fun with hands-on activities on the banks of the beautiful Locust Fork River near Cleveland.  Trained leaders will guide activities from kayaking and canoeing to learning about the river, its animals, and our watershed. Yes, kids will get wet and meet live animals!

Spend a day back in time at the Blountsville Historical Park! Travel the first road in in Alabama! See demonstrations of bygone crafts and ways of life!  Learn about the area’s Native Americans.  Meet Characters from our past, and MORE! This camp is for the WHOLE FAMILY!  Come and explore our heritage!
