The Blount County Education Foundation was created in November of 1998 with the mission to promote academic excellence in Blount County Schools. From then until now, the Foundation, due to the tremendous support of the Blount County community, has awarded over $1.3 million dollars to the schools through its various projects!
Projects include: the classroom grant program, after school tutoring, summer programs (2007 and 2008), library enhancement, honoring the Blount County Teachers of the Year, the Scholars Bowl program, recognizing the National Board Certified Teachers, and more!

Upcoming Events:
The 2010 Radio-thon will be held on Thursday, September 23rd, 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. on WCRL Radio 1570 AM and 95.3 FM. Tune in and call in your pledge! For more information contact Mitchie Neel, mneel@blountboe.net.
Contribution Options:
Partnership Program - Contributions of at least $250 create a Partnership. A donation of $750 awards a Named Grant. Signature Grants award $1,000 to the grant winner.
Endowment Program - A contribution of $10,000 to the Endowment Fund creates a Permanent Grant awarded annually. The Foundation works with the Contributor to name the grant, which may be in honor or in memory of someone or named to recognize the donor.
